Derrick Antonio Williams, was born on July 7, 1969, at DC General Hospital in Washington, DC, to Deborah Hall and the late Eldridge Logan, and departed this life on April 2, 2026.
As a young boy, Derrick was always on the move, delivering newspapers, selling candy to friends, and helping neighbors by carrying groceries from the co‐op. That early hustle wasn’t just a phase; it was the foundation of the entrepreneur he would later become.
While working at Giant Food, Derrick made the most important decision of his life: he gave his heart to Christ. His faith became his anchor. Even when life brought challenges, he held tightly to God’s love and grew into a devoted Deacon, sharing encouragement, compassion, and the Word with everyone he met.
In 2006, Derrick’s life changed forever when he met Christina Green, the woman who would become his partner, his peace, and the love of his life. They married in 2007, and from their union came two children, Christopher and Dakota. Derrick also lovingly raised Aaron Jacks, Ayesha Williams, Latasha Gregory Carthens, and his grandchild Amoura Williams, embracing them fully as his own.
Derrick had a gift for bringing people together. He was the one who made sure the music was right, the laughter was loud, and everyone felt welcome. As the owner of Infuse Restaurant and Lounge, he created a space where people could celebrate, connect, and feel at home.
Through every event, every handshake, every smile, Derrick touched lives, sometimes in big ways, sometimes in quiet ones, but always with sincerity.
Derrick was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mabel Jacqueline Grady and Constance Stevenson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife Christina; his children Aaron, Christopher, Dakota, Ayesha, and Latasha; his mother Deborah Hall; his grandfather Benjamin Stevenson Sr.; his siblings Lashrone Taylor, Sherry Logan, Sherrise Hall, Patrice Wright (Neil), Penni Harper (Eddie), Tisa Leslie (Walter), Brandeon Vann, and Rebekkah Green; his aunts and uncles Benjamin Stevenson Jr., Melody Gaskins (Jack), Yolanda Cook (Daniel), Darren Stevenson (Yvette), Reginald Whren, Senitra Morgan, Monique Jordan (James), and Saeeda Morgan; his nieces and nephews Katrice Hall, Shawntay Hall, Michael Clark, Marquette Hall, Melvin Hall, Shakirah Henry, London, Paris, Hassan, Sharon Bostic (John), Walter Leslie (Jackie), JaBarrie Leslie, Taivon Leslie, and Royal Vann and a host of cousins, god family, and countless friends who became family along the way.
Derrick lived with purpose, loved without hesitation, and left an imprint on every heart he touched. His laughter, his faith, and his generous spirit will continue to shine through the many lives he blessed.
