Earnestine Miles, lovingly known as “Earnie” to close family and friends, entered eternal rest on February 12, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on July 3, 1955, in Washington, D.C., to the late Bessie Ruckard and Theodore Miles.
The family of Earnestine Miles respectfully announces the memorial service honoring her life, legacy, and the profound impact she made on all who were blessed to know her. She will be remembered for her grace, strength, and the love she shared so generously with family, friends, and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Ruckard and Theodore Miles; her two brothers, Charles “Dick” Ruckard and Ricardo Miles; her beloved son, Jahmel Miles; and her grandson, Ka’Ron Moore.
She is lovingly survived by her sons: Ronald F. “Rhontu” Moore Jr. (Ashley) and Theodore Asa Miles (Nikiera), sisters: Christine Gross (Francis—whom she affectionately called “brother‑in‑law”) and Clemantine Parker (Lawrence), Two brothers: Dowkins Ruckard and Theodore Miles Jr., grandchildren: Chyna Moore, Eli Moore, Eden Moore, Emery Moore, Esa Moore, King Asa Miles, and Prince As’Jah Miles, nieces: Crysheila Simms, Cryshon Simms, Adrienne Ruckard, Debbie Hodge (Michael), Darlene Ruckard (Joseph Murphy), and Tonya Parker, nephews: Bruce Ruckard, Wayne Ruckard, and Lawrence Parker Jr. A special great niece, Alexis Jacobs, and cousins who were more like her siblings, David Sevot and Paula Robinson, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends
A service of remembrance will be held as follows:
